Jon has lived a life of service from his early years as a Boy Scout, to Master Counselor in the Order of DeMolay, to the honor of being recognized as the National Deputy Sheriff of the Year.
While aviation is his passion, Jon’s calling is to steadfastly do his best for everyone his life touches. His career in law enforcement, including positions as a training officer, investigative agent, and sergeant brought Jon multiple local, state, and national awards for his dedication to doing what is right, all the time. When his career was cut short by cancer, Jon faced the challenge head-on and emerged successful despite tremendous odds. A decade of medicines, doctors, and surgeries later, Jon is 100% physically and mentally prepared for his next challenge, finding the solution to end the arbitrary and exclusionary model of regional commercial aviation.
A model focused on the routes and passengers that will pay the most. A model that abandons, ignores, and de-values rural and regional routes. A model that reduces community access to personal and business opportunities and turns a simple trip between neighboring states into an odyssey to far-flung cities often hundreds of miles in the wrong direction.
Commonwealth Commuter Airways Ltd. is Regional - Reimagined.
Local and Regional airports with little or no commercial service are starved for the opportunity to provide their communities and businesses with exactly that, opportunities. Opportunities to work, to learn, to live, to seek specialized medical care, to expand a business, to promote and grow their community.
CCA will work cooperatively with each airport and the community it serves to create the best set of daily, nonstop routes to the destinations and opportunities they demand.
CCA will establish reasonable, affordable fares which reflect the socio-economic makeup of each community.
CCA will utilize the best leading edge technology to operate an airline that is affordable, comfortable, responsive, adaptable, safe, environmentally responsible and sustainable.
CCA will be economically robust, designed from the ground up to weather cyclical economies, anomalies, and attitudes, using a unique, yet common sense approach to passenger and cargo services.
Jon understands that “small” or “rural” does not mean economically unsustainable. It means the airline that will
dominate the new regional landscape must be adaptable, responsive, agile, and open about their service plans, their financial footing, and their dedication to providing superior service to every passenger, every flight, every day.
Jon and CCA will bring about a new golden age of flying, throwing open the doors of opportunity to more passengers, in more places, more often, including within the airline itself.
